Can your plastic pails hold lubricating oil? Is it easy to pour out?

PP/HDPE (polypropylene/high-density polyethylene) are well-suited for weak acids, weak alkalis, fertilizers, water-based paints, and cleaning agents. However, strong oxidizing agents, highly concentrated strong acids, and certain potent solvents (such as some aromatic hydrocarbons) can corrode the plastic. Always conduct a small-scale immersion test before use. For hazardous chemicals, ensure you use plastic drums that carry the appropriate certification for the transport of dangerous goods.

For PP (polypropylene) containers, the typical operating temperature range is approximately -20°C to 100°C. While they can hold hot water for short periods, they are not recommended for long-term storage of 100°C boiling water, and the container body should never be exposed directly to an open flame. HDPE (high-density polyethylene) has a lower maximum temperature limit. It is advisable to conduct tests before filling with high-temperature liquids to prevent deformation.

Food-grade buckets are manufactured using virgin, food-contact-safe raw materials. They are marked with the "PP" symbol (along with the number 5) on the bottom and are accompanied by test reports confirming their suitability for food contact. Such buckets are appropriate for storing items like sauces, honey, edible oils, and feed additives. It is strictly prohibited to use buckets that have previously contained chemical substances for the storage of food products.

The most common materials are PP (polypropylene) and HDPE (high-density polyethylene). PP offers better temperature resistance, while HDPE excels in impact and chemical resistance. We primarily recommend buckets made from virgin PP resin, available in a wide range of sizes, including 1L, 4L, 5L, 6L, 9L, 10L, 13L, 15L, 16L, 18L, 20L, and 25L.

Liters refer to volume, not weight. For example, a 20L bucket holds about 20kg of water. For sauce, fertilizer, paint and other materials with higher density, the weight will be greater for the same volume. Please calculate according to the density of your material before placing an order. Leave space for thermal expansion during filling; do not fill the bucket to the top.
