What is your quality control process?

2026-09-15

Chengpin applies a closed-loop quality-control system throughout raw-material receiving, injection molding, inspection, packaging, and delivery. The batch acceptance rate is 99%. Quality control begins with raw-material inspection and continues throughout production to help maintain consistent quality for bulk orders.

Each production batch is inspected for appearance, weight, dimensions, lid fit, sealing performance, drop resistance, and packaging condition. The inspection process covers raw-material inspection, injection-molding inspection, appearance inspection, weight inspection, dimensional inspection, lid-fit testing, sealing testing, drop testing, and final packaging inspection.

For applicable products and project requirements, the company can also conduct professional testing, including cold-resistance testing, sealing testing, impact-resistance testing, drop testing, and stacking testing. These checks help assess whether a pail is suitable for the relevant filling, storage, handling, and transportation conditions.

Standardized mold management and warehousing support dimensional consistency and stable quality during mass production. Relevant test reports and inspection documents can be provided according to the customer’s product requirements and agreed quality standards.

Can your plastic buckets be used for storing fertilizer? What solutions are there for barrel bulging?

Q: Can your plastic pails be used for fertilizer?

A: Yes, depending on the fertilizer type. Our PP plastic buckets work for most granular fertilizers, slow-release fertilizers, liquid organic fertilizers and water-soluble fertilizers.

⚠️ Notes:

  • Ordinary PP buckets are NOT recommended for highly corrosive fertilizers with strong acid or alkali. You need chemically modified thickened pails for such chemicals.
  • Organic fertilizer and compost liquid may ferment and generate gas. Fully sealed storage will cause bulging. Do not seal airtight.
  • We suggest a small compatibility test before bulk filling: put fertilizer sample into the bucket, seal and observe, to confirm no corrosion or excessive gas generation.
  • Fertilizers tend to absorb moisture and form crystals. Store away from direct sunlight.

Q: What solutions are there for bulging pails?

A: Bulging happens when gas builds up inside the bucket from fermentation or chemical reaction. Pressure expands the bucket wall.

✅ Preventive solutions (recommended first)

  • Do not seal completely. Use lids with vent valves to release gas slowly and balance internal pressure. This is the most popular option for organic & fermented fertilizers.
  • Degas the material before filling. Fully mature and rest the fertilizer to release trapped gas prior to packaging.
  • Leave headspace. Do not fill to full capacity. Reserve 5%–10% volume as buffer space for gas expansion.
  • Use heavy-duty thick pails. Thick PP material resists deformation under mild pressure.

✅ Handling already bulging buckets

  • Move to cool and ventilated area. Release pressure slowly by opening the lid. Never open under high temperature or direct sun, as sudden pressure release may spray material and cause injury.
  • After pressure release, replace lid with vent cap if the fertilizer keeps generating gas.
  • Discard heavily deformed buckets. The plastic wall has internal stress and may crack and leak.

Reminder: Thicker bucket walls only withstand minor pressure. They cannot stop continuous gas production. Vent caps are the key solution for fermenting materials.
